It's finally happening...a new house!

After MONTHS of waiting, we have finally gotten started on our new house! We poured concrete on October 1st and it has come along very quickly since then.

Here are the basics of what the house will look like - Style - Hill Country Ranch house:

* 4 bedroom, 4 bath, formal dining room, gameroom, 3 car garage and indoor/outdoor fireplace (Brian's fav part)

* It will be all stone with cedar wood trim on front porch and probably a metal roof

* Stained concrete floors, stained cabinets and granite counters.

This is a FOREVER home so we are being very careful to pick out just the right item for each room! Thanks for following us on this adventure; it should be fun!

My baby turned two on September 29th! Because of our busy schedules, we just decided to have his party at the park again and have it on his actually birthday; which was a Thursday. It worked out great! All our friends and family were there and kids of all ages had fun too!

Of course, I didn't get a picture of the him with the cake but hey...3rd child, ok?? I'm sooooo over having "perfect" birthday parties where it's mainly for the parents. Lincoln and his brothers had a blast and that's all that matters to me. I let Lincoln pick the theme and "Lightnin Queen" was his choice!

He is obsessed with riding 4wheelers at my in-laws so we knew getting him his own 4wheeler was the perfect gift! We were right...he fliped out when he saw it and jumped right on! He steers that thing like a pro!

As far as his stats: he's 34 lbs and still wearing 2T (smaller than the other boys at this age)

not sure about height. Just got rid of a middle of the night bottle (don't judge), still takes a paci at night time and is the pickiest eater I've had. BUT...he's the sweet thing in WHOLE world and everyone that keeps him (school, church, etc) says he is such a joy and love being with him! It took us two years to get pregnant with Lincoln and he was sooooooo worth the wait! He finally completes our family and we are so happy with three little boys!! It is an adventure of a lifetime!

On other news, we are finally building our house! The slab was poured on Oct 1st and they already have the roof on! I'll post about that soon!

July flew by, like a flash!

From 4th of July, to Hudson going to his first overnight church camp, to Brian's Birthday, to my out of state work trip! Whew!

We are getting adjusted to living in what we call the "Farm House." The boys have really missed living on our old street with all the kids that live there. They have had way too much time together and need to go back to school desperately! The fighting is driving everyone crazy. But, I guess if I were a good mom, I'd look at it as a "teaching opportunity!" Lessons on being courteous, sharing and not trying to annoy our brother. HAHA! In honor of moving to the "farm", we bought a Ranger and a Junior Razor for us to drive around on. Because my grandparents live just around the corner, we can drive the back way, though the hills and pastures and go visit. They absolutely love us coming and so do we. We are still waiting to close on our loan so hopefully the house building will be happening soon!

We had a very busy June, as you can see! Started out with my niece, Taylor's gradution from High School and then a quick trip to San Antonio with my Mom. The boys loved the riverwalk. The only thing that fell in the water was Lincoln's pacifer (which we need to ditch anyway)! We enjoyed Sea World and the Alamo too!

Our next trip was to Nassau, Bahamas for our 10 YR Anniversary!! We went to an All-Inclusive Adults only resort and loved it! We had never done all-inclusive before and it was perfect for this kind of trip. We just layed by the pool and ocean and enjoyed being together. We went on a snorkel excursion and to the local "straw market" as they call it. We got the boys some fun souviners and ate at Senor Frogs for the first time. That's an experience in and of itself! Whew! The weather there was hot but nothing like Texas! They had little rain showers every day so that was nice. For our anniversary, we are each getting new wedding rings! Yipee! I am using my current diamond and just getting a new white gold setting instead of yellow gold. I'll post a pic when it comes in. Of course, my fabulous Diamond Broker brother, Lake, is taking care of it for me!!

Our last big event was Drew's All-Star experience. This was his first year to play T-Ball so we were so proud of him for making All-Stars. He did a great job and it was fun for the parents too! We are now on to Flag Football but I'll post about that when I get caught up to August! HAHA!

The month of May held lots of End of the Year activites and few quick fun trips.

Drew had an End of the Year program for his Preschool and they did "graduation" afterwards. He was so cute walking across the stage to get his diploma. The teacher says a few words about each child as they come across the stage and she said Drew "takes pride in his work and is a natural leader. He said he wants to be a Police officer when he grows up." Aw, make a mama proud. Drew is a happy lil thing and is so easy going. He makes friends easily and loves sports. (He's playing flag football this fall) He is reading on a 1st grade level and likes asking me how to spell things. I love seeing him come out from under Hudson's shadow and become his own person. I can't wait to watch his personality grow as he goes into Kindergarden this year. Sorry, i needed to talk about Drew some b/c big bro gets a lot of attention since he's the loudest!! HAHA!

Hudson had an end of the year party the last day of school and they rented like 10 blow-up water slides. The kids had a blast. He made all A's this year and his lowest grade for the year was a 96! AND, he's in GT! Obviously, he got his smarts from his Daddy and his mouth from his Mama (see his desk right next to the teachers in the above photo?) HAHA! He loves school and learning anything!! The child loves to know details about how everything works and will probably be an Engineer of some sort! He's loves any activity outside but hasn't really liked sports, so far. He likes fishing, hunting, riding 4wheelers, etc. I'm thinking about signing him up for Tae Kwon Do in the fall. He's an individual kinda kid!

On to Lincoln...he's loving being at home this summer with his cousin, Bretley watching them. Linc talks like crazy and sometimes I forget that he's not even two yet. He loves saying phrases that his bros and cousins say, like..."No way Jose!" He even says things, "Come here Mama," and "Mama, this way!" We've nicked-named him "Bossy Britches!" He doesn't let his brothers get away with anything and will definitely stand up for himself. He is a little fibber too...he'll be sitting in car seat and say "Mama, Drew hit me." And, I'm sitting right there and know good and well that Drew didn't touch him. He's so funny! He loves to ride in the car...anybody's car. He just wants to go! He likes the pool and his fav thing to do is ride the 4wheeler. He begs and begs to go on it. He is pure joy and definitely completes our family!

Brian and two of his buddies participated in a Warrior Dash in Ft. Worth a couple of weeks ago. They were so excited about it. It is a 5K that has obstacles throughout the race. There were hundreds of people there. We had to park at Texas Motor Speedway and ride a bus to the race. The big boys went with us and had a blast. They wanted to participate so badly but you had to be 14 years old. Brian already wants to do another one and wants me to join in too! We'll see!!

I had a great Bday weekend. The 'rents kept the boys and let us and our friends go out of town to eat at a fun restaurant. We had a great time and the food was delicious! Of course, the boys were living it up at "Sunnyland!"

Brian gave me a Fossil purse I had pointed out to him a few months ago! YAY Brian! Love it! Of course, one of the highlights of my Bday is always my grandmother's famous homemade CARROT CAKE! If you've never had it, don't judge..it's amazing! If you have had it, then you know what I'm talking about! Here's to another amazing year!! CHEERS!

As you can tell, we had a great Spring Break week. I only worked two days so I could spend some quality time with my kiddos. The weather was gorgeous so we spent most of our time outside. We made a trip to the zoo and walked a nature trail. The boys were begging to go swimming..seriously! Um...not yet boys! My Dad flew us to McKinney to the Heard Musuem and nature trail for the day. A great day trip and the best part was that it took only 30 mins from MP. Sweet! We enjoyed our time together but sure did miss Brian, who was working quite a bit. Only FOUR more weeks of Tax Season..yay!

Even though it's been super busy at the office, we've still tried to find time to have lots of fun!

Tax Season is in FULL swing and that means Brian is working double time!! Both boys just started baseball and practice started last week. They both seem excited about it. If you'll remember...Hudson didn't want to play last year but changed his mind this year. He moved up to Machine Pitch and Drew started TBall. They both did great at their first practice. Hopefully, they'll both love it and have a great time.

Lincoln is 17 months old and running around like crazy! We've been in close contact with his ENT b/c he's had an ear infection and both tubes have been dislodged somewhat. Dr isn't ready to do tubes again. HE said Linc will have to get several more infections before we start the process over again. He's talking WAY more than I remember the other boys talking at this age. He is putting two and three words together! Crazy. He's still pretty easy going but does stand his ground with his two older brothers. He comes and "taddles" when they take something from him or they won't let him have something. So cute! He runs to me and says "Mama, car" and pulls me to where the action happened. He is such a joy and I'm so glad God had me wait for this blessing.

Brian and I have been talking to Contractors and waiting on bids to build our new house. Hopefully, we'll find a good fit (as far as contractor) b/c we'll be in contact with this person daily for the next 6 months. I have been online a lot looking at pictures of new homes (since there aren't many in MP) trying to get my thoughts together on what I want the house to look like. Soooo many decisions to make so I'm trying to get ahead of the game. Things we know for sure: one story, 4 BR and a gameroom, all stone exterior and granite counters! I really wanted wood floors but doesn't look like that will be in the budget. :( That's about all we have decided so far! If any of you have seen interesting websites or blogs about current house construction & decor, I'd love to visit them. We LOVE the look of the new homes in the Austin area!

We had a GREAT Christmas and New Year holiday! The boys were NOT happy to go back to school this week. Their 16 year old cousin has been watching them the last two weeks at our house, so they have had a blast!

They were super excited about Christmas this year and Drew woke up at 3AM Christmas Eve night to tell me Santa came. Soooo, I let him look at all of it for a minute and then took him back to bed. 2 minutes later....I heard him in there playing! I put in back to bed 3 times before he fell asleep again. Poor guy! Everyone woke up, for good, at 6:00 sharp! The madness began! Hudson and Drew got scooters from Santa and a Nintendo DSi from us. Those were their favorite gifts from us...along with a sling shot, a crossbow, and a gumball machine! Lincoln's favorite was his big truck in the picture above. And NO, I don't have any pics of Drew b/c he boycotted pictures that day! Their other favorite gifts of the day were new bicycles from my parents and BB guns from Brian's parents. WOW...it's beginning to be REALLY apparent that I'm surrounded by boys!! But, I love every minute of it!

It has taken a full WEEK to get the Christmas decor put away and get the house back in order after the gifts/toys have been drug through the house!

Hudson's 1st grade class

So the birthday festivities began at the beginning of December, with Hudson's Bday on the 2nd. I can't believe I have a SEVEN year old! That sounds so old! Wait, that makes me old too! He started his Bday off with a trip to the donut shop then I brought cupcakes to his class at school. We had a family December Bday party with Brian's family that night to celebrate Hud, Drew and their Cuz Hailey's bday.

The boys have been talking about wanting to tour a factory (weird, I know) so my mom arranged a tour of the power plant for Hudson's and a tour of the local chocolate factory for Drew. Of course, we all got to join in too. Very unique Bday surprises "Sunny", good job. They both had a blast at the tours.

Instead of a BIG bday party with friends, they each invited ONE friend and we went to Longview to Chuck E Cheese, bowling and ice cream. I'm not quite sure it's Cheaper but easier on this Mama! Hudson got his first pocket knife from us and Drew got a huge IronMan car/control center thing for his bday. Of course, I took cupcakes to Drew's class Friday since he's out this week. Their cousin Bretley is watching them this week, so they were super excited about that.

It's hard to anticipate Christmas b/c of all the bday festivities but now I can calm down and try to focus on the true meaning of Christmas and help teach our kids the same. I hope you all have a peaceful and joyful Christmas with your families. We are truely blessed.

So, I've been a pretty pitiful blogger the past TWO months. The main reason...couldn't find my camera (that was in my car btw). I have more pics on my iphone but you know...don't have time to upload them.

We've had a VERY busy last two months. We've had something going on EVERY weekend, in addition to soccer practice 4 times a week and 2 games on Saturdays. Thank goodness last weekend was our last soccer game. The boys enjoyed it but were beginning to get burned out (Mama too)! Hopefully, I'll start blogging at least once a week again. Especially now that I have my new header...thanks to Meredith Wilson Bass! Isn't it soooo cute. She's awesome!

I know everyone is getting ready for a really busy Christmas season and we have TWO little boys' birthdays before all that too! Hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving. I've been reading y'alls blogs when I can...even though I haven't kept mine up! So....keep those posts comin'! Have a great week!

P.S. Drew's hair is burred b/c he cut it by himself and we had to get is buzzed super short! Mama not a happy camper!

As you can tell, we had Lincoln's 1st Birthday party Sunday. His actual Bday is tomorrow (Wed). I decided to have it at Dellwood Park so all the big kids could have fun too. The BIGGEST hit of the party was sliding down the hill in cardboard boxes...thanks to my mom's idea. They had blast. I know you other MP people will remember doing that when we were young. Of course back then, they had that HUGE, long metal slide. Good times.

Lincoln had fun too. He basically walked around and watched the big kids play. He loved to swing too. He would not even touch his cake. I tried to give him a small piece and he kept shaking his head "no!" Silly boy...doesn't know what's good! He wouldn't really open gifts but if I handed the toy to him, he'd grab it and start playing. All he wanted to do was sit in his booster chair and play with his new toys. Too cute. He absolutely LOVED the little Police Coup Car. It has a removable floor so he can push himself when he's bigger. For now, he just hangs on to that steering wheel and shakes back and forth for me to push him. I'll have to get a video.

This is a bitter sweet birthday b/c I know he will only grow more quickly now. We have enjoyed him so much this year and it pains me to think of him in school, etc. The exciting part is to know this next year I will begin to know his personality and hear him speak more. Can't wait to hear those precious words...I love you, Mommy! It's been a blessed year with him in our family and I'm so thankful God allowed us to be a Family of Five!!

As you can see, there is a lot going on already in the Dyke household. School started 4 weeks ago and everyone has settled into their new routine. Well, except for Mama. I'm working full-time now and pick up the boys at 3:00 each day. It is such a blessing to be able to do that and see them for a bit before the nighttime routine starts. You know....dinner, homework, bath, reading, prayers, etc.

Hudson and Drew started soccer a week ago and have their first game this weekend. They are on different teams this season so it's been a little crazy practing on different days. They are both doing great and seem to really like it. They are doing well in school too. Both have gotten good reports each week. They only thing Hudson's teacher said he needs to work on is talking more quiet. Well, he is related to me you know.

Lincoln is walking like crazy and is starting to say some words. I LOVE this stage...he is SO much fun. He is the most content baby we've had and is such a joy. Of course, no baby is perfect and we have issues with not liking table food and still waking up once a night! I'm trying not to complain b/c he is such a happy baby. I'm planning his first birthday party. I decided to have a big party and invite all our local friends and their kids...and family too! With the other two boys, I only did a small family get together at our house. But, for some reason, I want to have a big party and have everyone there that has watched him grow this last year. Maybe it's b/c he's my last baby and I want to make a big deal about everything. It should be a blast for all of us.

As you can tell, our summer has pretty much centered around swimming at my parents house. The boy are swimming great this year and do not have to have Mama or Daddy in the water at all times...YAY! My Dad got my old go cart up and running and the boys drove it for the first time last weekend. Luckily they have been driving their battery powered John Deere tractor and Firetruck for years so they were pros! It is so old and shakes so bad that you have to put cushions on the seat and back! You MP girls will remember riding that thing around the square in the neighborhood. We are going to Beavers Bend with The Dyke Crew this weekend...Lincoln included! Should be hot but fun! Pictures to come!! O...and I'm getting my hair colored next week....going darker....I'll post pics of that too! Fingers crossed it looks good!

We now have an independent 9 month old. He only wants to be on the floor playing! NO exer-saucer, walker, high chair, carseat....Nutin'!!! And Mr. Man has decided he doesn't want his brothers "playing"/bothering him either! When they even touch him, he starts fussing. Cracks me up but I don't blame him...they would drive me crazy too.

We took the whole crew to Austin for almost a week!! I loved every minute of it. Since I already technically live at "home," I think of Austin as my other home! I would move there in a heartbeat if I could take mine and Brian's family and our business, of course. Maybe in 18 years when everyone is out of the house (and going to UT, I might add)!!!

Sorry for such little posting lately. As the title reads...I have so little time these days. I'm trying to divide my attention between 3 precious little boys, an amazing husband, a career, friends and my church (oh, and our home)! That's a lot...when you want to give 100% to everything! Whew!! I don't see how my mom did it all those years. And, she continued to work full-time after we were born.

I posted pics from a few of the highlights of the last month.

The biggest was Hudson getting his tonsils out. The Dr. thought he needed them out last year but I just couldn't do it yet. After having at least 3-4 strep throats this winter, we decided to go ahead and do it. The Dr assured me that he was the best age to do. The first day was pretty bad. He would wake up ever so often and cry and get a drink and go back to sleep...broke his mama's heart. After the first day, it was much better than I expected. Let's just say he handled it waaaay better than I did when I got mine out 4 yrs ago!!! He's almost 100% again but goes back for his checkup this week. Then he should be able to play his last few soccer games of the season.

We went on a few outings earlier in the month. We went to "Pioneer Days" in Pittsburg. Not much to it...just a horse and buggy ride and a few booths from local crafty folks. The boys love going just about anywhere that's outside. B and I took them to Pine Cove Camps on Sunday afternoon for "Family Day." Brian worked there for 4 summers during college and the boys having been wanting to go for a while. They had just about all their activies open and the boys had a blast. If you are looking for an amazingly fun Christian camp for the kiddos...check into it!

Oh, and the biggest news is.....Lincoln is Crawling and Pulling up on EVERYTHING!! He has been doing this for several weeks now. He is definitely my earliest to pull up...crazy!! We've still been battling his chronic double ear infections but they are clear for now. Let's hope it stays that way...he's been sooooo happy and babbling like crazy.

*weighs 21 lbs

*wears size 12 months(same size as his brothers at this age)

*eating #2s and doesn't like any finger foods but those Gerber puffs
*loves the bottle and WILL NOT drink out of sippy cup

*waking up 1-2 times a night but hopefully not now that he's well

So, it's been a while since I posted...again! Sorry!! Things are great here! I have my husband back...........YAY! He's home, as we speak, working in the yard and doing guy stuff. Happy as can be! Everyone else is good. Linc is still fighting ear infections. Not sure what we're going to do about that. Hudson has been scheduled for a Tonsillectomy! I am seriously dreading that day! I had mine out whenI was 27 and it was AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dr assures me it won't be that bad for him. I hope not. He's excited...poor thing doesn't know what's coming. Drew is up to his usual....being a sneaky, defiant little booger. He was a great 2 and 3 yr old and now.....??? People are telling me it's the middle child thing. I don't exactly know what that means! Would someone please fill me in. We love on him and give him the same "rights" as Hudson. He's still pretty stinkin' cute though! They are doing better at soccer. Well, Hudson is anyway (reference Drew's photo above)!! Lincoln is just about to crawl. It's so fun watching him scoot backwards!

So I haven't posted in almost a month! More sickness it our house....Lincoln got a double ear infection again, RSV and two new teeth all in ONE week!!!!!!! It has not been pretty at our house. He was waking up every two hours, screaming! I can't take seeing my baby in pain. He's much better now and slept great last night. Let's hope it's the start of a new sleeping pattern!

Big boys are in soccer. They have their first game on Saturday. They are both doing pretty good. Hudson is definitely liking it better than T-ball or Flag Football, so that's good. They got new fish during spring break. Fine with me...not much to take care of and better than a new puppy!

Brian and I are going to a local Winery for my b-day with some friends, tomorrow night! Mom wants to try and keep Lincoln overnight again! We'll see how that goes! I can't wait for Spring and NO MORE SICKNESS!!!

My little "Booger" is 5 months old and has changed a ton this month. It's amazing how, overnight, they can reach out and grab a toy! Lincoln is doing better playing on his belly....mainly because he can roll over whenever he wants. He LOVES the exersaucer and playing on the floor. HATES the swing and Bumbo chair. His favorite people are STILL his brothers. It's so weird how he lights up the minute they walk in the door. Hudson can get him to laugh better than anyone else. It's like they all have some weird Triplet connection that's unexplainable. It absolutely melts my heart to see them all play together and especially to see the big boys love on Lincoln. They are getting pretty protective and talk about how they would "beat up" anyone that tried to hurt Lincoln. So cute. I think Linc is beginning to look more like Hudson. I'll try to post some pics of all three of them at the same age so we can see. I'm back at work two days a week and really enjoying it. L goes to a local church daycare on those days. I'm planning on going back 3-4 days this summer b/c the boys' teenage cousin is going to watch them. Of course, they are super excited about that!! Oh and get this...I started back to the gym a couple of weeks ago. I'm just 2 lbs from my pre-Linc weight but I want to lose 10 more. Hope it doesn't take too long to get off!

The big boys signed up for soccer this weekend. They are so excited. Drew was almost in tears after we signed him up b/c he thought he was going to play that day! This is the first time for both of them so I think they'll be on the same team. Drew said he wants Red cleats!! HAHA!

Brian is good...sort of! He's in over his head in tax returns. A blessing, for sure!! Only 6 more weeks of late nights...I can't wait!! Brian has lost 10 lbs so we're eating super healthy at my house! I need all the help I can get! Happy March!!

Brian and I had a much needed ONE night getaway last Friday. Mom watched Lincoln and Paula watched the big boys. Mom volunteered to watch ALL 3 but I wouldn't do that to her!! HAHA! We went to the Gaylord Texan for the first time. It was amazing. We went to a Murder Mystery Dinner Friday night. Not sure if Brian enjoyed it but he let me plan the agenda. OF COURSE...we shopped all day Friday and 1/2 a day Saturday. Now, I did suffer a little and went with him to REI. Somehow, I managed not to get drug into Guitar Center (yay)!! He never complained once about all the stores I went into or what I bought! What a trooper! It was nice to have a dinner alone and to sleep through the night. Well, I woke up several times but at least I didn't have to get out of bed and feed someone, right? We had a great time and we will definitely be going to the Gaylord again!!

The first 4 months have FLOWN by! My little "Booger" is growing like crazy! He loves his Bumbo chair and the high chair to play in. Doesn't like the swing much. He is liking tummy time more and more since he is getting stronger. He can now roll both ways. He can reach out and grab whatever you put in front of him. Not too good and hanging on to his toys though. He is teething and drooling like crazy and gnaws on everything. His favorite people are his older brothers; they make him laugh the loudest!

Stats:

weight: 17.11 (about the same as last month, crazy)

clothes: still some 6 month but mostly 9 month

food: taking bottle full-time - 6 oz every 3 hrs (no cereal yet...but soon)

sleep: ALL JACKED UP since he's been sick!! anywhere from 30-mins to 1 1/2 hrs 4 times a day. Nighttime: 8-7AM waking up anywhere from 1-3 times since being sick.

We went back to the Dr today for 4 month shots and the Dr said "Flat Lincoln's" head is looking better! Praise God!! He said to keep doing what I'm doing! YAY!

My Sick Baby

So these last few weeks have been a little difficult. I guess it didn't really dawn on me until now that the more children you have, the more trips to the doctor you'll make. So...that's where I've been for last 3 weeks!

First, Hudson had Strep Throat. Then, Lincoln had 1 ear infection. Then Drew got Strep Throat. Then, I realized that Lincoln was not better, went back to Dr and now he has 2 ear infections. Over a week later, Lincoln still has horrible congestion and has developed a terrible cough. So...we went back to Dr today and he has upper respiratory infection. Poor thing had to get bloodwork done and an Xray. If your little one has never had an Xray, consider yourself lucky. It's awful to watch. They put him on this stool, raise his hands in the air and lock him in this clear plastic cylinder. Oh and they are naked too. They are so uncomfortable and scared. I cry every time. Luckily, he didn't have RSV.

So, here is where the "Flat Lincoln" title comes in...When Lincoln went to the Dr the first time, the Dr asked if I put Lincoln on his belly any and I said "no, not yet." He informed me that Lincoln's head is looking too flat on the backside and that if it's not better in a month, he'll put a HELMET on him! Do what???? My stomach dropped! So, needless to say...Mr. Lincoln has not been spending much time on his back!! The reason I said "Flat Lincoln" is b/c one of my friends said we should call him that just like "Flat Stanley!"

The boys have been going crazy being cooped up in the house so we had a little outing last weekend to Longview. We found this indoor playground and arcade that is operated by a local church. Crazy, huh? It was super cheap and the boys had a blast. Linc took a nap and then watched the boys play. He is a wonderful traveler. Of course we had to do something for the grown-ups too so we went to Jason's Deli!! hopfully, it will warmup soon!

Another crazy Christmas has come and gone. This one was a little more special considering we had a new addition to the family. I love that I am old enough to appreciate the blessing of a new life and a little sad that I didn't savor every moment of the other boys' infanthood (if that's a term). I was "too busy" and "stressed out" to enjoy them while they were little. I look at Lincoln all the time and praise God for giving him to us. I now love every minute of being with Lincoln...happy or crying, smiling or fussing...he is a true joy and growing every second of the day. So...you new mom's who are always stressed and uptight...chill, go with the flow and enjoy the precious gift you have been given!

Now...on to Christmas...we did the in-laws for Christmas Eve, my parents late Christmas morning and my grandmother's Christmas evening. I was a little worried how Linc would do with all the jumping around but he was a trooper. Thankfully, my family all have cribs so L was right at home. He took naps at every location and did fantastic! The big boys had a ball this year. They were old enough to actually ask for things for Christmas so we had to explain that they would NOT be getting everything they asked for. Favorite gifts were: Hexabugs, Batman Cave, DJ keyboard thingy, and of course their HUGE nerf guns! Mommy's favorite gift was a necklace that had all the boys' names on it!

Mom is watching all the boys Thursday night so we can go to dinner and a movie. I think she's trying to make up for the fact that she, my dad and brother and S-I-L are all going to the National Championship without me...AGAIN!!! If you'll recall...the last time the Longhorns went to the Nat'l Championship Drew was 2 weeks old...so...of course I couldn't go then either!

This post have been several weeks in making. I started posting pics and never got to finish it. So....I really don't have time for a lengthy post now. Here's the bullet point version:
- Celebrated Hudson's 6th B-day on the 2nd by taking cupcakes to his class
- Hudson got to pick his B-day dinner and chose CiCi's (got $ to play games...so happy)
- Both boys got their B-day presents that day...bikes!!
-Had a joint kid party at same place as last year...the boys'decision
-Celebrated Drew's B-day on 20th by going to CiCi's AGAIN!

Whew....that's a whirlwind month!! And I tried to fit in some Christmas present buying in between all of that. Oh...and I forgot to mention...taking care of a BABY!! Luckily, Lincoln is a wonderful baby so that is the easy part of my life!

I can't believe it...my little "booger", as I call him, is already 2 months old. His personality is beginning to come out a little. He's super sweet, of course. So far, he's real layed back and just sits in my lap or in his bouncer and coos. He started smiling a week ago and just lights up our whole family. It's weird, but I feel like our family is finally complete. I guess you just know...I literally thank the Lord everyday for finally giving us a third child. It funny how, this time around, I don't mind getting up to feed him or having to miss out on things to stay home with him. I think I took the other boys for granted when they were little and now I realize what a miracle it is to have a new life given to me. Praise God!!

Upsdate: After going to the doctor today...here's his 2 month stats: weight, 13 lbs 6 oz (90th percentile), 23 3/4 inches (50th percentile)!! No surprise...I'm used to big ole' boys!

We had a great weekend. Spent most of Saturday at my parents watching the game(longhorns of course) and letting the boys play outside. They love the sandbox, even when it's full of leaves.

The boys begged Brian to carve a pumpkin. Of course, once Brian gave in and started carving, the boys were already in the other room watching TV...figures!! You can tell Brian's excitement by the picture above...LOL!

Lincoln is doing wonderful! Things get easier everyday. He's starting to be more content when he's awake and loves his bouncer and swing. He looks around and just coos and coos...the most precious sound ever. The newness of having a baby in the house has not worn off with the boys. They still beg to hold him and kiss him non-stop. The poor child never gets a moments peace. I guess I should be thankful that they love him and are not jealous. Now that things have settled down with the baby, I've tried to purposefully spend quality time with the boys. We are making a point of turning the TV off and playing games and toys as a family while Lincoln is asleep. It's so hard dividing my attention b/w three kids and a husband but I'm working at it. Brian is a HUGE help and I couldn't do any of it w/o him. Now...I've just got to figure out how in the world I'm going to do Christmas shopping this year!! Guess it's online looking this year!

Hud had his last flag football game of the year...they called it the Super Bowl. He has gotten so much better thru the season. He told me he was not going to play "one more sport" so we'll see if we can get him to play basketball in a couple of months. We just want him to try everything and then decide what he likes. Right now, he'd rather just run around and be silly...which is fine.

Nap Nanny

I was on the phone with my friend down the street, Reesie, and was telling her about Lincoln's reflux and that he wasn't taking naps longer than 30-45 mins and she told me about the Nap Nanny. Her baby is 9mos old and has outgrown it, so she brought it over. He slept an hour and a half the first time I laid him in it! Amen!! It is just an oversized wedge covered in Minky fabric. This thing is awesome. I've also been working on not having to put him to sleep before I lay him down. I just swaddle him, give him his pacifier and rock him for a couple of minutes. I lay him down while he's kinda drowsy and he's out in no time. If he wakes himself up again, I just reswaddle him and put his passy back in. If he screams bloody-murder, I'll pick him up and rock a few more minutes until he calms down and lay him back down. It's been wonderful! I'm not having to pace the floor with a screaming baby trying to put him to sleep before I lay him down. With the other boys, I waited until they were 5-6 months old before we sleep trained...I was such a pushover. With three...I have to be a little more intentional. He's sleeping 4-5 hrs at a time at night...so that's been great. The big boys are good and still LOVE their baby brother. We're having pictures made of all the boys this weekend so I'll post them when we get them. Happy November!

We had a family Halloween last night...minus baby Lincoln, who stayed with Sunny & Papa. It felt good to actually do something with the big boys. I feel like they've been motherless for a month.

We started out at Herschel's and had orange ice cream with our dinner. Then we went to our church for some games and fun. Drew tried every single game and Hud played one or two. So funny, Hudson's always been that way about carnival type games. They jumped in bounce houses and went down a blow up slide a hundred times. We trick or treated in the Country Club neighborhood and called it a night at 8PM!! We went and got little brother, who had a blast at his first solo visit to the grandparents. A great night with lots of fun and good candy!! Yes, I sneak candy from the boys; they don't need ALL that sugar right?!

Been a little busy taking care of Mr. Man. He slept for 5 hours straight two nights in a row. That gives me hope. He slept in two 3 hr shifts last night...yippee! I can handle that!

Drew got the Swine Flu Sunday so he's been home with us. No fever today so maybe he's over it! Lincoln is 4 weeks old today and a month old on Thursday! Time has flown by. He went to the Dr Friday and weighs 10 lbs 4 oz. We've got another biggin' on our hands! gotta go...2 kids crying!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. You'd think being home all day, I'd have more spare time. Our new family of 5 is beginning to feel normal. Lincoln is doing great. He already weighs 9lbs 3 oz. Yes...we grow 'em big in this house! He's been nursing exclusively but is beginning to act like he needs a little more. I'll supplement with a little formula here and there as needed. He's getting up 2-3 times a night, eating and going right back to sleep. The boys are still loving on him and wanting to hold him 24/7. He's super sweet and I could stare at those big eyes all day.

Lincoln had his first playdate today with my friend from high school who happens to live in the neighborhood. Her baby, Noah, was born 4 days before Lincoln. They were so cute together. Of course, Lincoln cried half the time and Noah slept the whole time. Typical Dyke baby!!

As a side note, I went to the Dr last week and have lost 25 lbs since having the baby. Sounds good but I still have 20 to go! Oh well, it's a good start! Happy Fall Everyone!

We got a little surprise Monday night...Lincoln was ready to come! I finally went to the hospital Monday night around 11PM and he was born at 1:43AM! I know, crazy! I was induced with the other boys so I didn't know exactly when to go to the hospital. I didn't time it so well. By the time we got to the hospital, got checked in and got my epidural, I was an 8! I would not recommend waiting that long!!

The boys are so excited he's here; especially Hudson. It was priceless watching them see Lincoln for the first time. We are home and the boys are spending one more night with Sunny & Papa. We are so blessed to live close to our parents.

I am now looking forward to taking care of little Lincoln and getting in to some sort of routine with the family again. Thank you for sharing in on this journey over the last 9mos and for your prayers and encouragement. I know Lincoln is a miracle and that God knew all along that he would be in our family. I am so amazed by God's love for me and by the blessings He he has given me.

Went to the doctor this morning. Everything looks good. We are inducing Friday morning at 6AM. Maybe, just maybe I'll go into labor before then! I think I'll go for a brisk walk tonight...and tomorrow...and every day until he comes!! My face is swollen and my hands and feet are swollen...hince...NO pictures of myself!!

I'll let you know if anything changes b/w now and Friday. If not, expect a post sometime Friday or Saturday with pics of Lincoln.

I went to the Dr this morning and he said I'm b/w a 1 & 2 dilated. Hey...that's something! He said there's a 50% chance I'll have the baby by next my next appt (Monday)! So...knowing my previous history with the boys....I'm sure I"ll make it at least another week. He DID say we might induce next week...so that is music to my ears!!

In trying to prepare myself for having a newborn in the house again, I've been going thru old pics of the boys when they were newborns. I can remember the first time I saw each of them and what I thought. With Hudson...my reaction was..."Oh my gosh, he's huge" and with Drew it was "Oh my gosh, look at all that hair!" I can't wait to see what this one looks like. Hudson weighed 9lbs 2 oz and Drew weighed 8 lbs 6oz. The Dr. thinks Lincoln will be somewhere in b/w the two. We'll see. I'll keep you updated!

We had a fairly relaxed weekend. We went to the MPHS football game and took the boys. They loved hearing the band during the game and their favorite part is watching the football players run through the giant blow-up Tiger Head. Of course, we left after the halftime show...Mama's tired!

I worked in the baby's closet Saturday morning. Started washing his gazillion items to be washed....burp cloths, blankets, sheets, bibs, clothes!! You would think there would not be much to do for a THIRD BOY but that's definitely not true. That afternoon, we met some friends at my parents to swim and play. They were in Austin at the UT game (sorry dogs) but they don't mind us coming while they are gone.

We went back to my parents Monday another dip in the pool and to enjoy some steaks! Great weekend! I went to the Dr. yesterday and he said I may go into labor on my own and not have to be induced...yippee! So...hopefully, we'll have a baby during the last week of Sept. I go to the Dr. every Tuesday so I'll keep you update!

Last night was "Meet the Teacher" at Hudson's new elementary school. He was so excited to go and was practically skipping down the kindergarten hall. He said his teacher "looks nice." After meeting his teacher, we visited the library, gym and cafeteria. They served pizza to all the kids and parents which, of course, they loved. We bought a school shirt and Hudson said he wanted to wear the first day of school. Too cute. I said, "Well, I think you should wear something else the 1st day of school, since we'll be taking lots of pictures!" He said," we can take pictures in my school shirt!" I told him he could wear it the 2nd day of school and he was ok with that. Oh and Drew wanted a school T-shirt too. I told him I'd get him one later and Hud was not happy about that. I'm actually not sad at all about him going to kindergarten b/c he's really excited and I know probably half the parents in Hudson's class . Several of them and I went to high school together. Crazy. I think it's going to be a great year and I hope he makes lots of good friends. I'll post pics after his first day next week.

We've had a busy last two weeks so I decided to just post it all. I did leave out Hud's flag football tryouts and our 1st official practice. We also went bowling for the first team this weekend. The boys loved it and would jump up and down after EVERY bowl. Drew barely got the ball down the lane but it did end up knocking over a few pins!

I finally received the baby bedding last week! YEAH!! We have furniture in place but nothing on the walls. I want to wait until it's completely finished before I show you guys! I went to my 33 wk appt. today. The doctor thinks we are on schedule to have another large baby (surprise) so he thinks he may induce at 39 wks which would be the last week of September!! YEAH!!!! I go back in two wks so I'll let you know.

Wow...8 years has gone by fast! I would never have guessed, 8 yrs ago, that Brian and I would be in Mt. P, working with my parents, and expecting our THIRD boy!!! Crazy how life plays out...or should I clarify...how God works things out. We are soooooo happy here and wouldn't change a thing. Well, except for the fact that my favorite city, Austin, is 5 hours away. We are so exceedingly blessed and have continued to enjoy a fun-filled marriage. Thank you, Brian, for putting up with my wacky ways, for loving me for who I am, and for helping me be a better "me!" I love you and can't wait to see what new adventures lay ahead of us in the years to come.

We had our 4th Annual Family Lake Day with our Sunday School class & their kids out at Mom & Dad's this weekend. We had 20 adults and no telling how many kids. Due to my "current condition," I stayed by the pool all afternoon and swam with the kids. Brian took the boat out with mostly dad's and kids that wanted to tube. Hudson FINALLY tubed...yeah! Brian didn't even have to talk him into it & he loved it. Oh and another mileston...Hudson jumped off the diving board with no lifejacket and swam to the shallow end. AND he went down the slide with no lifejacket. Of course, this idea came to him when he saw a girl his same age doing it and said he could too! Nothing like being shown up by a "girl!" LOL!! We grilled fajitas and swam a little bit more before it started getting dark. We are so blessed to be a part of a wonderful Sunday school class and love each of them dearly.

I leave for Kansas City tomorrow for a business conference and will be back Friday. Have a great week!

We had our office staff and their families over to Mom & Dad's for a Lake Party on Saturday. The weather was perfect, so we got to stay out all afternoon.

I'm guessing you're wondering why I have pics of only Drew on the waverunner & tube....well, that's b/c he's our more daring child. Drew will pretty much try anything that involves his Daddy. It was his first time on the tube and he had a blast. It was also Hudson's first time to jump off the diving board and go down the slide (w/ a life jacket, of course)!

We are finally putting a deck up in our back yard. We have been in this house for 4 years and just never got around to doing it. A friend of ours has built several decks so we thought we could use someone with a little bit of experience to help. I think the deck is going to be a little larger than we had thought, but that's ok. I'm super excited and can't wait for outdoor furniture to go on sale so I can go looking.

Also, we had a celebration dinner last night for my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary. They are so cute. They took our whole family to Bermuda 10 years ago for their 50th. It was a vacation I'll never forget; it was amazing. I'm so thankful that my grandparents and parents are still married and modeled to me how to make a marriage work over decades and still enjoy being together today. I told Mer that hopefully Brian and I will go to Bermuda on our 50th in honor of them!

I didn't take many pics this weekend except our trip to a small water park in Tyler. We had a low-key holiday and didn't even go out in the boat once. Boy, I'm getting old!!

We swam for a few hours at mom and dad's and went to the in-laws for some steaks. I tried to get the boys to go out to the lake to watch fireworks but they quickly declined! Guess I should be thankful...I'm sure there will be many years to come of them begging to shoot fireworks!!! Hope you had a great weekend too!

Our friends, The Smiths, who used to live here, came to visit this weekend. They have two boys and a little girl so of course our kids love when they come. We had a cookout Saturday night and our other mutual friends came, The Souzas. Their little boy, Josiah, is in the picture on the dirt pile with the boys. We had a blast catching up and watching the kids play on the slip and slide.

Our church has an annual "Happy Birthday USA" celebration on Sunday. They have inflatables for the kids and cheap food. The whole community comes and it's a lot of fun. I love that it's on the weekend before the 4th so I get to celebrate twice!!

We went to Carlsbad, CA to visit my brother and sister in law last weekend. The weather was a little chillier than I had expected. After all...this is Southern California. It was approx. 67-70 degrees the whole time we were there. Overcast, except the last day. We had a great time anyway.

FYI: I haven't talked much about my bro on the blog b/c he doesn't live in Mt. P. He is 2 yrs older than I am and has not lived in MP since he graduated...somewhat of a "city boy" I think. Anyway,they have a home in Austin but have been in CA while my bro was getting his Gemologist degree. He is a "diamond broker" and wanted the credentials to go along with his several years experience in the field. They will hopefully return to Austin in Sept. or Oct.

We had wonderful time but I was glad to get back home. The boys can only take so many days of hotel, you know? I would highly recommend planning a trip to the San Diego area, next time you get the chance.

The boys had swimming lessons all week. I don't know which they more excited about...swim lessons or missing half a day of preschool! Hudson is doing well swimming and absolutely loves the water. Drew likes the water too but is NOT about to put his face in the water for long. He's so cute trying to swim but his little 3 1/2 yr old body just can't quite get the hang of it yet.

We just recently bought a flag football set for us play this summer. Hudson is signed up to play this fall so we thought we'd get a head start. We set out our soccer cones for goals and played in the front yard so there would be some boundaries. They both loved it and Mama and Daddy played too. Of course, sometimes I just "couldn't" get that flag off of them and they would score. I let the boys pick our team names and this is what they came up with: The Stinkies and The Coyotes....crack me up!! We kept score on the concrete with chalk. Sometimes I would catch Hudson erasing the other teams' points...guess we need to learn about Good Sportsmanship next.

I went to Canton last weekend for the first time in years. Beside it being incredibly HOT, I had a great time. I went with some friends that go all the time so they knew all the good pavillons to hit. This is where I found it...the perfect bedding for my sweet baby! You'll never guess what's on the bedding....AIRPLANES!! Yep, in honor of my hubby getting his pilots' license and of course the rest of the men in my family that fly. I didn't think I wanted a theme this time but just couldn't find anything that I liked. When I saw this booth and all the bedding she had on display, I knew I'd find something I loved. The name of the business is Love Bug Baby Bedding and is custom made. She just got this fabric so she hasn't actually made bedding from it yet but her website has so many other cute ones too.

I've already been cleaning Drew's closet out in preparation of moving Hudson stuff in there too. Oh, and so much for getting bunkbeds...neither one of them wants to sleep on the top bunk so we took them apart. Crazy...I used to love sleeping on the top bunk at camp. Just watch...they'll change their mind in about 2 months and we'll be putting them back together! Ugh! Btw...the bedding is going to take 2 months so I'll post a pic when it comes in and we have the nursery put together. As you can tell, I'm beginning to get super excited about having another little boy! Thanks for all the great baby name ideas....keep on the lookout still!

We made a quick trip to Austin for my college roommates' 30th B-day. We cooked hamburgers and just hung out...I love those kind of get-togethers. B and I stopped by a few baby boutiques while in town and found some super cute bedding...for girls! Different boy bedding sooo hard to find. I don't want western, camo or animals and I don't really want "baby" colors eithers. I want blue, of course....just not pastel blue. I'm going to Dallas on Monday so maybe I'll find something amazing.

Oh yea, back to our weekend. We got back in town around lunch on Monday and headed to the MP airport for the Annual Fly-In. Pilots from our area "fly-in" and park their plane for everyone to come by and see. They served free hotdogs and hamburgers and a few of the pilots gave free rides. We've been going for several years and the boys absolutely love it. Afterwards, we went to my parents for some swim time. We made it an early night and headed home. Hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend too.

It's finally confirmed...Brian and I will definitely be welcoming a Third baby boy to our family. I'm a little surprised but not shocked. This pregnancy has been exactly like the other two. Of course, I'm a little disappointed. It's hard to imagine that I will never go to dance recitals, buy dresses for special occassions, and help plan a wedding. I'm somewhat girly, you know, and that kind of stuff gets me super excited. I know that God has a plan for our family and that this baby boy will play an important role. And like someone said the other day...now, I won't have to share my "crown" in the family! So, now I am on to very exciting times of planning a new nursery and picking out the perfect name for my precious baby boy. And PLEASE keep those name ideas coming. Ok...what about these names: Knox, Brenner & Hendrix?

I'm 20 weeks prego this week. Crazy....I feel like it was just yesterday that I was 6 week prego and worrying day and night about whether my body was going to let me keep this pregnancy. I won't lie, I still worry about that sometimes. With the boys, it never crossed my mind...at any time...that every week pregnant was a blessing. I'm trying to cherish this pregnancy (as weird as that sounds) knowing that it's my last. I go back to the Dr. on Thursday to try and figure out if this baby is really a boy or girl? I don't have any inclinations so we'll all be surprised!

In the meantime...I've been thinking baby names. Now...that is "funnest" part about having a baby...am I right? This time...I'm thinking something different. On MckMama's blog the other day, she talked about having unique baby name ideas for her sister but didn't list any. I wish she would, I need ideas. Ok..so here's your chance...bring on the unusual baby name ideas, please. Here's a start....what about Quaid and Maddox?

19 weeks prego

I had a great Mother's Day weekend. It was a nice balance between spending some chill time at home and having other things going on as well.

Hudson had T-ball game Friday night and we went to Cici's Pizza afterwards. Hudson got someone out, for the first time! We were so excited for him. He's finally understanding who to tag out and when. Saturday morning, my hubby let me sleep in!! The best present ever....am I right, moms?? I piddled around the house doing laundry, cleaning out Drew's room (making room to move Hud in there eventually), and washing the cars. Then we went to sign Hudson up for Flag Football for the fall. He actually wants to play! Fine with me...I want him to play anything but Soccer! Not a fun sport to watch, in my opinion. Sunny (my mom) & Papa (my dad) met us for lunch and took the boys with them for the afternoon so B and I could watch Star Trek. I was NOT excited about going but shockingly enough...I actually liked it. I really think that movie is for just about anyone to enjoy.

Sunday, we went to church and took Brian's mom to her favorite place, Two Senoritas. The boys took a nap (unwillingly, of course) and I headed to Wal-Mart to shop in peace and quiet. We ended the evening at my grandmother's (Mer) where the boys road on their HUGE tractor and we cooked hamburgers. These are the weekends that I love small town life.

Sorry, I haven't posted about our trip to NYC. When we got home, I had a business trip and T-ball games. We did so much in 5 days, that I can't begin to write about all of it, so I'll just post pictures. Overall, we had a fantastic time and I would highly recommend you going...without kids of course (there were no high chairs or kids menus in ANY NY restaurants-definitely NOT kid friendly)! We stayed in a boutique hotel right off Times Square and it was perfect.

We had a great weekend! Played around all Saturday until it was time to go see the much awaited arrival of "Monsters vs. Aliens!" It was in 3D and the boys loved it. At one point, I saw Drew reaching out to touch a meteorite coming at us. The movie was pretty cute and Hudson can't wait until it comes out on DVD, he said!

We also got to see a 1 day old colt. It was so precious. I think I was more amazed than the boys were! The In-laws named it "Hootie." Not sure where that came from, but kinda cute. We finished the night off with Green Chili Burrows(my fav) at the in-laws and a game of Apples to Apples. That's a fun game, if you haven't played. We always play stupid cards that make everyone laugh, so it gets interesting!

Hudson has a T-ball game tonight and Sunny wanted Drew to go home with her, since it's "cold" outside. Yeah, I don't have to chase a 3 yr old around the ballpark for a night! Now, let's Hudson actually goes after the ball tonight! Go Diamondbacks!

Hudson has been practicing baseball for several weeks now and finally had his first game. He was most excited about getting his uniform! So cute! He's a pretty good hitter but definitely does NOT like the outfield. He just stands there and only goes after a ball if it comes directly to him. He has informed Brian and I that he does not like baseball. His Daddy is crushed! Hopefully, as the season goes on, he'll change his mind.

iday was my actual birthday but he didn't plan anything b/c Hudson was supposed to have T-ball. It got cancelled b/c of the rain so we just had a nice dinner with the in-laws at Chili's.

Saturday we dropped the boys off at Sunny & Papa's, picked up our friends, the Blackstone's, and headed to Shreveport (aka The boats) for a night full of gaming! I played 3 card poker and Blackjack the whole night with Sara and Brian and the guys played Craps. That game looks so confusing...of course, Brian picked it up instantly and made $500 bucks by the time the night was over. Of course we had already lost $500 bucks...so now we're even! Which is a WIN to me! I go to the "boats" knowing that I'm coming home empty handed so breaking even was great! We had a wonderful buffet dinner full of every kind of food you could imagine. We rolled into MP around 2AM! Me...asleep of course! And..we still made it to church the next morning! I know, I know....being a Christian and gambling aren't supposed to mix but whatever!

We went to my Mom's Sunday afternoon and the boys played outside for hours. We sat on the back patio looking out at the lake. It was so relaxing. My made Taco Salad (at my request) and my grandmother, Mer, made my annual Carrot Cake for my B-day. It was all fabulous.

My BIG 30th Celebration is at the end of April when we go to New York. We can't take trips during tax season so a month late will have to do! I can't wait! Thanks for all the birthday wishes! Now, I look forward to watching the rest of you hit the BIG 3-0 this year!

So...I've been dreading this day for 365 days! The BIG 3-0! But, now that it's here, I'm kind of proud to be 30. That means I lived through Jr. High, High School and College AND more importantly...don't ever have to go back! Ok...I'd go back to college anyday, but not for the work obviously! Just for the carefree, no responsibility lifestyle and thinking the world was at my fingertips. Good times. BUT...I love where I am in my life, who I am and the blessings I've received along the way. I fully expect the next decade to be filled with lots of adventure and memories. I can't wait.

We're going to Shreveport with two other couples tomorrow to celebrate so I'll have the full report Monday! Have a fabulously, joy-filled weekend!

12 weeks...YEAH!!!!!!!!!

So...It's been 8 weeks since I found out I was prego! It's gone by fast! I didn't know if I'd make it this far but I did...and feel sooooo blessed! When I was pregnant with the boys, I didn't think much of each Dr. visit...it was cool to hear the heartbeat but didn't realize how special it was OR how special it was to even BE pregnant. I felt like it was my Right, as a woman, to have a child. Now, I know that each and EVERY baby born is a miracle...planned or not. And that each child has a purpose on this Earth. Ok, I'm getting sappy but seeing my sweet baby's heartbeat again today and seeing it move around was amazing. What a blessing, to be experiencing this for a third time. I wish every woman, who wanted to carry a child, could do so as many times as she'd like. I'm still praying for those of you who are desiring a baby and thank you for praying for me.

It's Spring Break for our kids...we'll their teachers at their preschool have off but the kids can still go to school if needed. I felt bad b/c Hudson said he had all week off this week and little did he know that he had to still go. So, I took off yesterday and we went to the Tyler Zoo with my friend, Crissie and her two girls, Hailyn & Lainy. The boys had a blast and one of their favorite animals was the Anteater. So funny. They were already begging to go back this morning. My grandmother is going to keep them tomorrow so they can have another day away from school. They are going to plant flowers and go out to eat lunch. We have already purchased two pairs of little boys work gloves so they'll be all set! I love spring!!

Last night, we had a going away party for our friends that are moving to Longview. Oh, how I long to be them and be in the same town as Jason's Deli, McAlister's, & Chick-Fil-A! Brian and I had everything planned out...He'd come home a little early and get the grill going, change some lightbulbs(LOL), and get everything ready before our guest's arrived. NOPE...not at our house. Nothing ever goes as planned. I took Brian's keys home with me so he couldn't get home. I had soooo much to do to get ready so he asked a co-worker to bring him home. By the time we he got home, there were already 8 people there. Oh well, we had a good time anyway! We grilled hamburger and hotdogs and the kids came too. Of course, the men can't just hang out and visit, so they pulled out Rockband. We had a great time and wish the Bradshaw's all the best in "The City!"

Yesterday was also "Western Day" at Drew's preschool b/c they are learning the letter "W." The most I could get him to wear was cowboy boots. I only got the hat on for a picture. You might recognize the hat from Halloween. Hope you guys have a great weekend and maybe we'll get a few hours of NO rain!!

A T-Ball pic, just b/c!!

I just got back from my Dr. Appt. and had another ultrasound. PRAISE GOD...everything looked wonderful. When the picture first came up, the little bean was just moving all around. Almost like it was swimming. I almost cried with joy! The heartbeat looked super fast and I asked the Dr. about it and he said "Well, I guess that means it's girl." He said it looked completely normal. He didn't give me any pics...bummer. I go back in 2 weeks to actually hear the heartbeat...not just see it. I can't wait.

Oh, and I posted a pic of Hudson practicing hitting last night. He was so cute...especially when he sat in the outfield with his glove on his head!!!

A concert and the Toothfairy

YEAH! I finally bought another camera. I gave the old one a good 3 weeks to show up and it didn't. I figured if I did end up finding it, I need two cameras anyway, right? Nothing exciting happened last week, except for taking care of two boys with Strep Throat. At least they had it at the same time.

Brian and I and our friends, David and Sara, went to the Building 429 concert in Kilgore Saturday. The boys stayed with Mawmaw and Pawpaw. We headed out early to do a little shopping in BIG Longview beforehand. I'm in need of few new tops and am not ready to buy maternity. Ok...I'll never be ready to buy maternity! To my disappointment, I didn't find ONE new shirt. But....I did find the cutest sandals. Black thong sandals with black rhinestones on the top and some brown sandals with a turquoise stones. LOVE them! Now, I need a pedicure before I show off my new kicks. We went to Country Tavern for dinner, in Kilgore. Very delicious and we got out pretty fast since it was 5:30 in the afternoon. We headed to the concert and got to visit with Jason (lead singer and friend from H.S.) before it started. They put on a great show and we had a rockin time.

During the concert, Mawmaw called and said Hudson had something to tell me. I was freaking out b/c it was 9PM and she was calling from her cell phone. Mom's think the worst, right? Turns out, Hudson had pulled his two bottom teeth by himself. They have been loose for a few weeks and his permanent teeth were growing behind them. So, weird. He had a rag and was wiggling them for like an hour and Voila...they came out. He was sooooo proud. Of course, the Tooth Fairy made a trip to Mawmaw's and they wrote a note to her to leave the teeth so Hudson could show his mom and dad. My goodness, he is turning 18 before my very eyes. Ok, I will not cry over his first teeth coming out. I'm saving up for our first day of Kindergarten in 5 months.

Oh, I go Wed. for another ultrasound so maybe I can figure out how to scan it so you can see it. I"ll be 10 weeks. Hopefully, only a couple more weeks of queesiness!

Super Blessed

So, my #1 goal this year, surprisingly is already in the works. See post "New Year's Project." YEP, that's right...we are "with child!" PRAISE THE LORD! It's been a long year and a half. I had three months of Femara (similar to Clomid) and third month was a charm. It's a miracle. It's odd to say something's a miracle when we see it happen everyday but it truely is. I know from my experience that absolutely everything has to be in order at the exact time for a little baby to be conceived. It is truely a blessing from God and no "one" or "thing" will ever get the credit from me except HIM!

I am 8 weeks and have already had two ultrasounds. The first time I saw that little heartbeat fluttering...I wanted to yell out...YEAH GOD! I've just been praising Him and asking Him to keep our little baby safe and healthy. And yes...a part of me wants a little girl! Ok...a huge part of me. But hey, God created both sexes and I think it's perfectly ok to desire both.

Due date: Oct. 4th! Sounds good to me....at least it's not December right? Now....I'll only be 16 weeks when we go to NYC but I'm going to bug the fire out of my Dr. to find out before I go. That baby has to have something from New York, right? Thank you for your prayers and emails!

Still no camera. Not sure if I should just bite the bullet and go ahead and buy another one. I hate not having a camera with me at all times!! I know you girls know what I mean! Here are a few pics from the boys' visit to Sunny and Papa's Saturday night while B and I went to a Sunday School party. We'll be busy this week practicing T-Ball with the Hud. He has try-outs on Sunday and we have a lot of work to do!! No, I'm not going to be that crazy mom that totally gets into the games and yells at the refs, etc! Ok, so I don't think I will...this is my first child, you know!!

Sorry, no new post about V-day festivities. I took some cute pics of the boys with their "BAGS" of Valentine candy. They were soooo excited when I picked them up from preschool. We also sent the boys a balloon with a Valentine puppy dog to school. I asked Hudson who gave it to him and he said "Brooke!" That is a little girl in his class! So funny...at least somebody is getting the credit!!

It was a beautiful weekend and we made our rounds to all the grandparents' houses. We also took the boys to the T-ball field on Sunday with their cousins and played a mock baseball game. We just signed H up for his first year of T-ball. We haven't really worked with him that much so we figured it was time to have a little training before the first day of practice! Ohhhhhh, did Daddy and Pawpaw(Randy) jump all over that opportunity. They were so cute showing him how to swing "properly" and throw overhand. Hudson wanted to wear his glove on his right and we kept telling why he couldn't. After trying to throw with his glove on...he quickly realized why he can't wear the glove on the right hand. Hello...you should listen to mom & dad in the first place! Not my little do-it-yourselfer!!
